ACCOMMODATION RULES

By using the accommodation services of the hotel, the guest agrees to these accommodation rules and is obliged to comply with its provisions, as well as the general, ethical and moral rules customary in the Slovak Republic. The guest is obliged to familiarize properly with these accommodation rules, his/her ignorance will not be taken into account. In the event of non-compliance with the above-mentioned provisions, the accommodation provider has the right to withdraw from the provision of all its services before the expiry of the agreed time without the right to a refund of the funds paid by the guest as an advance payment for the stay.

  1. The hotel can only accommodate guests who have booked and confirmed services, or a contractual relationship has been established at the place of accommodation or are registered for accommodation. For this purpose, the guest is obliged to identify himself/herself to the receptionist upon arrival by presenting his/her ID card or passport or other valid identification document. The registration of foreigners is governed by special legal regulations.
  2. The hotel receptionist may request the guest’s mobile phone number for the purpose of contacting the guest outside the hotel room, as well as the registration number of the guest’s vehicle in case the vehicle needs to be parked in a different place.
  3. The hotel is entitled to request payment card details (card number, expiry date, CVV or CVC code) when booking a stay or when the guest is staying at the hotel, which serves as a guarantee for the payment of the services provided. If it is found that after the guest has left the hotel, unpaid services remain on his/her account, the hotel is entitled to make payment from this payment card.
  4. The hotel is entitled to record and process customer data obtained from or in connection with the business relationship for its own purposes.
  5. In special cases, the hotel may offer the guest accommodation other than the pre-agreed accommodation as long as it does not differ substantially from the confirmed booking.
  6. On the basis of the booked accommodation, the hotel is obliged to accommodate the guest on the arrival day from 14:00, no later than 24:00. Until this time, the hotel must book the room for the guest. If the guest does not check in by 24:00 on the day of arrival, the hotel may dispose of the room at its discretion. In this case, the guest is deemed to have cancelled the stay unless otherwise agreed with the hotel.
  7. In the case of a guest’s request to check-in by 14:00, the hotel is entitled to charge a fee for this service (early check-in) according to the applicable price list. If the guest requests accommodation before 7:00, he/she is obliged pay the full price for the previous night, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
  8. The guest is obliged check in at the hotel reception and vacate the room no later than 11:00 on the day of departure. If the guest fails to do so, the hotel is entitled to charge a fee for this service (late check-out) according to the applicable price list. If the guest does not vacate the room by 15:00 on the day of arrival, the hotel is entitled to charge the guest for that night according to the applicable price list, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
  9. In the event of an unannounced increase in the number of persons during the current stay, the guest will be charged the maximum room capacity for each day of the stay according to the applicable price list.
  10. The guests can store their valuables in a personal safe in the hotel room or in the hotel safe in the reception area. The hotel is only responsible for jewellery, money and other valuables if they have been stored in the hotel safe and up to the amount specified by law. The guest is obliged to claim the right to compensation without undue delay.
  11. The guests are not allowed to bring sports equipment (skis, ski boots, ski poles, skates, bicycles, snowboards, etc.) and other items for storage in the hotel premises into the rooms or other (not designated) areas.
  12. The hotel is liable for items brought by the guest to the hotel premises if these items have been placed in the designated areas.
  13. The forgotten belongings of the guests are stored at the hotel for a maximum of 14 days. The forgotten belongings will only be sent by the hotel to the guest if the guest requests it and pays the delivery costs.
  14. The guests are not allowed to consume their own drinks and meals in the common areas and restaurant of the hotel, with the exception of children’s meals.
  15. The guests are not allowed to take meals, drinks and hotel services outside the hotel restaurant without the hotel’s permission.
  16. It is not allowed to move equipment, make modifications, repairs and any interference with the electrical network or other installations in the room or other areas of the hotel without the hotel’s permission.
  17. The guests cannot arbitrarily empty the minibar in the hotel room. If the minibar is emptied without the hotel’s permission, the hotel may charge the guest a fee.
  18. 18. The guests may only be in the public areas (restaurant, conference rooms) of the hotel in appropriate or formal clothing. Swimwear, shorts, bathrobes, etc. are not acceptable in these areas.
  19. Dogs and other pets (except for dangerous animals) can only be accommodated in the hotel if the guest proves their safe condition. Animals are charged according to the applicable price list. Animals are not allowed in areas where meals and drinks are prepared or served. It is not allowed to use bathtubs, showers and sinks for bathing and washing animals. The owner of the animal is liable for any damage caused by the animal and must pay for the damage in full.
  20. 20. The hotel premises can be accessed by motor vehicles only on the access roads and the vehicles can be parked only in the designated parking areas for guests. The parking areas are not guarded by security guards and the hotel is not responsible for the parked vehicles or items left in the vehicle.
  21. You are not allowed to use your own electrical appliances in your hotel room or on the hotel premises. This rule does not apply to electrical appliances used for the guest’s personal hygiene (shaver, hairdryer, etc.).
  22. The accommodation provider accepts no responsibility for any damage to the guest’s electrical appliances caused by fluctuations or power failure.
  23. The hotel is not liable for outages and any damages resulting from power, water, gas, internet signal, etc. outages, which are supplied by a third party.
  24. The guest who caused the damage to the hotel property is liable for the damage according to the applicable legal regulations. In the event of damage or destruction of the hotel’s property, the hotel is entitled to compensation for the damage incurred. The guest is obliged to pay for the damage caused.
  25. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the hotel rooms and throughout the hotel. The restaurant area (Casa Havana) and outdoor areas of the hotel are reserved for smokers. In case of violation of the ban, the hotel has the right to charge a fee in the amount of 50 EUR for room soiling and removal of unpleasant odors.
  26. Swimwear, shorts or other types of clothing are strictly prohibited in the hotel wellness center. The guests have the necessary items for the wellness center available in their hotel room. In case of violation of the ban, the hotel has the right to charge a fee in the amount of 50 EUR.
  27. The guest is obliged to behave in the hotel room and in other areas of the hotel in such a way that his/her behavior does not disturb or limit other guests of the hotel. From 22:00 to 06:00, the guests are obliged to observe the silent hours. The hotel reserves the right to hold a social event after 22:00.
  28. For accommodation and services provided, the guest is obliged to pay the price according to the applicable price list, unless otherwise agreed in advance. The price list is available at the hotel reception and on the website www.hotelmetropol.sk.
  29. The hotel has the right to additionally charge the client’s credit card for any discrepancies that are found after the client’s departure (unpaid bill, consumption from the minibar, damages, etc.). The hotel is obliged to inform the client in writing of any additional charge to the client’s credit card and the reasons for such additional charge.
  30. The guest agrees that during the entire duration of his/her stay, the maiden, the maintenance staff or any other employee of the hotel shall have the right to enter his/her room for the purpose of performing his/her duties. The hotel reserves the right to enter the room in specific cases even when the “Do not disturb” sign is displayed.
  31. By displaying the “Do not disturb” sign, the guest loses the right to have the room cleaned that day. If the guest wishes to have his/her room cleaned, he/she must report this request to the hotel reception.
  32. Before leaving the hotel, the guest is obliged to turn off the taps in the room, close the windows and doors, turn off the lights and hand in the magnetic card at the reception.
  33. For safety reasons, it is not allowed to leave children without adult supervision in the room, play area, playground or other areas of the hotel. In the event of an accident or other unforeseen circumstances, the person with whom the child is registered, or the child’s legal guardian, is responsible for the child.
  34. 3There are common areas available for receiving visitors. The guests are only allowed to receive visitors in the rooms with the permission of the relevant receptionist between 10:00 and 22:00. hod.
  35. 35. An evacuation plan and signs indicating the direction of evacuation from the hotel are posted in a visible and accessible place. The guests are required to follow these instructions when necessary.
  36. The guests are obliged to observe all operating regulations of the hotel’s sales centers and to follow the information boards that are placed at the hotel premises and areas.
  37. The hotel has the right to refuse to confirm a reservation or to accommodate a guest who has a history of grossly violating the provisions of the Accommodation Rules during the previous stays.
  38. The hotel is not responsible for any disagreements or conflicts among the guests of the hotel, but it will take the necessary measures to ensure order in the accommodation and sales areas of the hotel within the scope of legal possibilities.
  39. The common areas of the hotel and its external surroundings are monitored by a camera system. The hotel has the right to disclose the CCTV footage to third parties (police, insurance company, etc.).
  40. The hotel staff is entitled to refuse to sell or serve alcoholic drinks to persons visibly impaired by alcohol or other intoxicating substances and to persons under 18 years of age.
  41. The guests are forbidden to ingest drugs or other intoxicants in the rooms, other areas and the entire hotel premises.
  42. The hotel has the right to refuse to provide services to persons under the influence of alcohol and persons who grossly violate the principles of good behavior.
  43. It is forbidden to carry weapons and ammunition at the hotel premises or otherwise keep them in a condition allowing their use.
  44. Complaints, claims, suggestions and proposals for improvement can be made at the hotel reception.
  45. In the event of conflict or disputes, the provisions of these Accommodation Rules take precedence over verbal agreements.
  46. The guests have the right to cancel their stay at any time prior to arrival at the hotel, subject to the cancellation policy. In the event of cancellation by the guest by sending a written notice, the booking is cancelled on the date on which the cancellation is received. In the event of cancellation or in the event that the guest does not check in or terminates the stay early, the guest is obliged to pay the relevant cancellation fee, unless otherwise agreed in advance:
    • ○ cancellation 14 days or more before the arrival: no cancellation fee;
    • ○ cancellation 13-7 days before the arrival: cancellation fee of 30% of the price of the stay;
    • ○ cancellation 6-2 days before the arrival: cancellation fee of 50% of the price of the stay;
    • ○ cancellation 1 days before the arrival: cancellation fee of 100% of the price of the stay.
  47. 47. Special cancellation conditions apply to discounted offers where the discount is conditional on the payment in advance. The amount paid for the stay is not refunded to the client, regardless of the date on which the booking was cancelled.
  48. The cancellation fee is deducted from the deposit, or the price paid.
  49. The hotel reserves the right to use all photographs, film and sound recordings of events held at the hotel for its advertising and marketing purposes
  50. In case of force majeure (flood, storm, fire, etc.), all rights and obligations arising from the contractual relationship between the guest and the hotel cease.

The Accommodation Rules come into force on 1 January 2018.
